Mi Casita Residences

Mi Casita Residences is a purpose-built senior care home in lake Chapala. It cares primarily for retirees who need nursing or memory care, alongside those who need everyday assistance or for temporary convalescent stays. Support is hands-on and around the clock, with monthly doctor checkups, physical therapy, meals tailored to each resident’s needs, and professional manicure and grooming.

It is a single-level property, which makes it easy to get around for residents in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. Each resident has a private room with its own bathroom, and the shared lounges stay in easy reach. There are 20 rooms that run along the sides and toward the back. Outside there is open ground to sit in the sun and take some air.

These residences are located on a quiet residential lot in San Antonio Tlayacapan, a lakeside town between Chapala and Ajijic. Hospital San Antonio is less than 5 minutes away and Guadalajara’s International airport is 45 minutes away.

Mi Casita Residences is run by a licensed nurse with her professional cédula, who oversees the home closely with a head nurse on-site and trained nursing assistants and caregivers. The home is COFEPRIS-licensed and compliant with protección civil and NOM-031-SSA3-2012. The team also offers in-home care and can arrange to bring a resident down from the United States.
