Serenity Bay Marina

Serenity Bay Marina is an assisted living home in the Marina neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta, with a pool and garden that look out over the golf course. Care starts at 45,000 pesos a month, roughly 2,700 USD, in a shared room for two, and the rate stays the same whether a resident is fully independent or needs round-the-clock nursing.

Care covers independent living, assisted living and memory care, with nursing available twenty-four hours a day, an on-call doctor, physical therapy and rehabilitation, and preventive health checkups. Everything is on a single floor, so there are no stairs and no elevator to depend on, and the house has ramps and handrails throughout. The garden paths are wide enough for a wheelchair, which matters more than it sounds: in many homes, outdoor space exists but is unreachable for the residents who most need fresh air.

Days follow a rhythm: physical activity in the morning, with stretching and walking, and mental activity in the afternoon, with games, art and reading. All meals are included, and the kitchen builds personalized nutrition plans for special diets and medical restrictions.

The house itself is one of the original properties in Marina Vallarta, fully renovated, with a large garden, a pool, a gardening area and plenty of room to walk. Inside there is a shared lounge and TV area, and the layout is generous throughout.

The home is newly opened and takes a maximum of twelve residents across six or seven bedrooms. Two are private with their own bathroom; the rest are shared between two and three people, and the rooms are large enough that sharing does not feel cramped.

Serenity Bay Marina sits on the northern edge of Puerto Vallarta, minutes from the international airport and close to the marina’s restaurants, shops and medical services. For families visiting from abroad, that airport proximity is a real practical advantage, and for residents it means the city is close without the noise of it.
