Casa Cieneguita

Casa Cieneguita is a small, medically equipped senior residence on the outskirts of San Miguel de Allende, just minutes from the nearest hospital. The community specializes in memory care for residents with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, MS, and other degenerative conditions, and the care philosophy on site is described as rooted in “”humanism, dedication and love.””

Medical infrastructure is unusually deep for a home of this size. There’s a medical director on site five days a week, with weekend coverage, and on-site services that include podiatry, psychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, radiology, and laboratory work. The home also carries AXA accident insurance for residents that covers up to 90 percent of hospitalization costs. Bilingual staff support English-speaking families, and the home maintains direct contacts in both Mexico and the United States.
