Founded and directed by geriatric physicians, the residence combines continuous medical supervision with 24/7 nursing, physiotherapy, gerontology, rehabilitation, individualized nutrition and cognitive support. With capacity for approximately 15 residents, GeriaMid operates as a small, closely supervised environment where medical care is integrated into residents’ everyday routines.

Types of Stay & Care at GeriaMid

• Permanent Residential Stay: Long-term residential care is available for older adults who require ongoing assistance with daily activities, medical monitoring, nursing and supervision.
• Short-Term Stay: Temporary geriatric stays are available for older adults requiring professional care for a limited period, including family caregiver respite.
• Post-Hospital & Recovery Care: GeriaMid supports older adults recovering after hospitalization, illness or surgery, combining medical oversight with nursing and rehabilitation.
• Functional Recovery: A dedicated Functional Recovery Unit provides closer medical, nursing and rehabilitation support for residents who require more intensive recovery care or early intervention when health concerns arise.
• Higher-Dependency Care: The residence is particularly suited to older adults who require significant assistance, continuous supervision or specialized support related to cognitive decline and chronic disease.

Medical & Nursing Care

• Continuous Geriatric Medical Supervision: GeriaMid is founded and directed by geriatric physicians, with ongoing medical presence and clinical decision-making integrated into the daily operation of the residence.
• Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment: Residents receive an entrance medical evaluation covering their physical health, cognitive status, functional ability, nutrition and wider care requirements.
• Monthly Medical Follow-Up: Residents receive regular geriatric follow-up, alongside additional medical attention when acute illnesses or changes in health occur.
• 24/7 Nursing: Professional nursing care is available throughout the day and night.
• Vital-Sign Monitoring: Residents receive daily vital-sign checks and additional monitoring according to physician instructions.
• Medication Management: Nursing staff administer daily medication, while geriatric physicians review prescriptions and adjust treatment when needed. Medication costs themselves are not included in the monthly rate.
• Specialized Medical Clinic: GeriaMid includes a clinical setting for geriatric healthcare, early assessment and targeted medical interventions.
• Diagnostic Services: Required diagnostic studies can be performed or coordinated as part of residents’ medical care, including laboratory testing, X-rays and electrocardiograms.

• Memory Care: GeriaMid specializes in caring for older adults living with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of cognitive impairment.
• Individualized Dementia Plans: Residents with dementia receive care plans that can be adapted as the condition progresses and their medical, functional or behavioral needs change.
• Cognitive Stimulation: Structured cognitive exercises, memory activities and interactive games are incorporated into residents’ routines.

• Physical Therapy: Physiotherapy is available Monday through Friday and is adapted around each resident’s mobility and rehabilitation requirements.

• Shared Accommodation: Standard shared rooms accommodate approximately three residents and include a private bathroom and dressing area for the room.
• Private Rooms: Individual rooms are available for residents who benefit from greater privacy, particularly those with dementia, sleep disruption or higher clinical needs.
• Common Areas: Residents have access to shared lounges, rest spaces and a television area for leisure and social interaction.
• Green & Outdoor Areas: Outdoor and green spaces provide additional areas for residents to spend time outside their rooms.
• Air Conditioning: The residence is fully air-conditioned across resident and communal spaces.
• Housekeeping & Laundry: Regular room cleaning, linen changes and personal laundry service are included.
• Security Cameras: Video surveillance forms part of the facility’s safety and monitoring systems.
• Accessible Environment: The property is adapted for older adults and includes ramps and other accessibility features to support residents with reduced mobility.

Dining & Nutrition

• Daily Dining: Residents receive three main meals and two snacks per day as part of the monthly residential service.

• Daily Visiting Hours: Family members may visit residents every day between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM.
• Family Outings: Residents can leave the residence with family members when outings are organized and accompanied by their relatives.
• No Organized Group Outings: GeriaMid does not organize group excursions for residents.
• No Facility Transportation: The residence does not operate its own resident transportation service. This reflects the higher levels of dependency and cognitive impairment among many of the residents cared for at GeriaMid.

• Hospital Access: The nearest hospital is approximately nine minutes away by car.
• Monthly Rate: Residential care ranges from approximately MXN $25,000 to MXN $30,000 per month, depending on the resident’s accommodation and care requirements.
• Included Services: Residential pricing includes accommodation, 24/7 nursing, geriatric medical supervision, physiotherapy, gerontology, cognitive stimulation, meals, snacks, housekeeping, laundry and regular supervision according to the resident’s care plan.
• Not Included: Medicines, diapers or other incontinence supplies when required, personal hygiene products and other personal items are paid separately by the family.

Admission Process

• Initial Visit: Families can visit the residence before making an admission decision, tour the facilities and discuss the older adult’s individual medical and care requirements with the team.
• Geriatric Evaluation: An initial comprehensive geriatric assessment is completed to determine the resident’s health status, dependency level and appropriate care plan.
• Care Planning: Medical, nursing, nutritional and rehabilitation needs are reviewed before the resident’s ongoing care plan is established.
• Admission: Once the assessment and arrangements are complete, the resident can move into the residence and begin their individualized care program.
